The Hotel I stayed in while in Mumbai... before boarding the crew boat.

This is how it look like from outside of my room .. nothing fancy, just like any other hotel  ;)

Inside Crew Boat from India ... Is the worst I have been too  :-[
Journey takes about 12 hours traveling at 15 knots

that would have been nice sheik unfortunately most of the time you would not want to bring food or drinks out the living quarters due to the variety of chemicals running in the air heh :)

i have a friend, ex collegue, he was working off-shore b4, so at one point of time, he thought he wanted to settle down and searched for an engineering job and finally got a job in my ex-company, with a peanut salary, because no experience. after about 2 years, he left for the off-shore again :)  20k a month, work for 3 months off-shore, rest for one month, which is also paid .. how i wish  ::)

he was graduated as an engineer, and left of an off shore work after that, which was not related to his studies. his tasks is to find petroleum with a ship that goes everywhere in the world and report to all those gas companies :) 5-star dining on the ship :P

just sharing...i had an ex-bf before who worked off-shore at different countries as an engineer (not related to what he studied in u at all) and he will be in the rig for months and will only come back for 2 weeks and off again. yes...he earns a lot and i dont have to work if i marry him...in the end we called it off...cos its hard to maintain the relationship...but only maintain as friends now.

that is exactly what my friend felt. b4 he stopped, he saw lots of his collegues, the wife left them.. gf left them.. etc... that's why he wanna settle down with his gf.. going to marry soon...

but i guess after 2 years.. cannot tahan the peanut salary... and go off-shore for few more years. but i salute him that although he was not able to meet his gf (wife to be) always, their relationship can that long. it's like few cases out of a million  ;D
