« on: February 26, 2011, 03:00:00 PM »

greetings sifoos...

Is there any problem for a guy who is long-sighted to do offshore diving? ADAS part 1-3? Any problems with full face mask using contact lenses?

Don't think there is a problem of wearing contact lens, only that it will cause discomfort in case the lens 'drop' from your eye-ball one side and there is no way to put it back underwater with the dive helmet and you still got long bottom time. I dont use contact lense, cause things 'appear' to be bigger underwater. Medically you cant straight-away take the course because in any case, you will need to undergo pre-commercial diving course medical check-up. Anyway.. i might be wrong about the contact lens.. ;)

There wont be a problem for contact lenses during the course...except during Broco (Burning) and Wet Welding exercise...My instructor was very particular about contact lenses for that!!..:)

If you look up some old thread in here, there would be some emails posted.
