Looking for somewhere special to go scuba diving during June? Then come to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and join Borneo Dream for a diving trip to Pulau Tiga - otherwise known as 'Survivor Island'.

Most divers coming to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah will generally only be aware of diving trips to nearby Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. However, via a 60 minute fast boat transfer on our RIB, you can be diving the beautiful coral reefs near Pulau Tiga.

Pulau Tiga is a group of small islands located approx. 30nm southwest of Kota Kinabalu. Pulau Tiga is also located in a Marine Park - Pulau Tiga National Park. This is good news for scuba divers looking to dive pretty, living coral reefs.

Borneo Dream has found 9 relatively unexplored beautiful coral reef dive sites around the Island. The dive depths are between 6m - 25m, the visibility is generally 5m to 25m with occasional strong currents on certain dive sites. This makes Pulau Tiga a great destination for drift diving, underwater photography and any diver wanting to dive somewhere a bit special.

During a scuba diving trip to Pulau Tiga you will dive by large coral covered pinnacles, coral bombies and busy cleaning stations. The hard and soft corals are breath taking, including cascades of large colourful barrel sponges, Whip Coral gardens, Black Coral, Gorgonian fans and more. The fish life is plentiful and you'll often be surrounded by darting Fusliers, schooling Barracuda, Yellow Snappers and Damsel Fish. You'll also come across Rays, Cuttle Fish, Nudibranches and lots more.

Best time to dive there is April - October. If you're in KK then just get in touch

i will travel to KK from 14-19 June, thinking of a trip to pulau tiga on 14/15 june, can furnish me the cost but i'm travel alone, my friend will join me on 16 June to climb mount kinabalu.

i m not sure but i think it is not a good idea to climb mt kk after diving...it is the same after diving, we can't take flight within 24 hours...just my 2 cents...

Hi - it's great you'd like to come diving at Pulau Tiga with us. I will PM you prices.

The recommended guideline for recreational diving is to leave a minimum 18 hours free after diving before flying on a plane (www.borneodream.com/scuba-diving/general-information/padi-current-flying-after-diving-guidlines.html). It is 24 hours if you have been do decompression diving / diving repetitively over several days.

We focus on safe, high quality, enjoyable diving trips. So diver safety is very important to us. As our MuW diver friend has two days free before they climb Mount Kinabalu I'd recommend they come diving to Pulau Tiga on the first day.

hi,

Thanks ngng212 & poyie to remind me on the danger after the decompression diving, totally forgoten about the pressure by climbing mountain, really appreciate it.

Have to take advise from BD to dive on the 1st day but i hv a very limited time as my flight touchdown at 12pm so any suggestion.

Very sad, really spoilt my plan but it's bcos of stupidity of ME.

I am from KK, have done 100s of dives in TAR, in Sipadan Mabul, Mengalun, Matanani, Mataking, Pom Pom and even Kudat but have never dived Pulau Tiga

First of all, sorry for our recent absence from MuW. But, we are now back on MuW

We started running our trips to Pulau Tiga (as well as our other offshore diving sites - WW2 wrecks, Mayne Rock) at the end of March and have enjoyed a few very nice diving trips there.

We run our Pulau Tiga diving trips whenever we have minimum 4 divers wanting to go there and we have nice weather (sea state)
