Hi all,

Am Sylvan.. planning to take on diving lessons this year, after years and years and years of putting the idea on hold. Finally as I got more time from work, am able to incorporate this plan this year with a few good friends of mine.

Been going through the forum these few days. a very informative site to newbies. Keep it up.

Will be taking my license sometime around March, afterthat, plan to make 1 to 2 compulsory dives every year.

will do. will do. thanks for the advise.

been doing alot of research on fins, masks, BCD etc etc..

almost made an impulse decision to get a Dive Computer (Mares or Suunto) cos I love watches..

then figured, best to slowly attain these items (to see if I will make full use of it or not..)

Yes I am from Sabah bah

I been working in Mabul - Sipadan about 2years and it's fantastic exprience as you know Sipadan was one of the best dive.

But after that am back to KK to search what we have here and found out TARP not bad dive site to visit

Darn.. I was suppose to go for my PADI Open Water Certification this early March but now it is hanging by the air as a friend couldnt make it.. With that, his gf might not be going.. that leaves me and another guy (which might not be going in the end)..

Looks like I got to find other avenues. .

In any case, I did some shopping for dive items.. all i need now is to look for dive buddies (if i am not heading down to Sabah

).

I find it quite hard at times to look for buddies or ppl to have the same interest as you especially when it comes to diving, but nevertheless, this forum have provided me with a platform for future diving buddies

Kelapa: THanks ! I will take that into consideration.

As i look back at my post, it have been a long long long time since March and I have yet to get my OW

mainly due to some change in roles in work, there's tavel and additional work involved..

Wetsuit, fins, masks etc (basic scuba gear all got already).. jz waiting to sign up for the course

but nevertheless, am not giving up on this new interest as I love anything to do with the beach and marine life..
