Thanks to White Fin for the notice.

For those that are interested to take up the AIDA freediving course, worry no more because Universal Diver of Perhentian besar is offering the course from 1 Star right up to 3 Star. And they have a babe of an intructor to teach you the finer things in diving. And she is a champion too!

Rates as follows:

Free Diving Courses
AIDA 1 STAR
Max depth: 12 meters
Duration course: 1 day
AIDA (international association of development free diving) certification card
RM300

AIDA 2 STAR (Advance)
Maximum depth : 22 meters
Course duration : 2-3 days
AIDA (international association of development free diving) certification card
RM750

Actually i have alr plan to go Koh Lanta with Dannykiat for the 1 star. 1 week of backpacking around southern thailand.
Mayb can go for 2 star thr. hehe... Ask his opinion 1st.

Why not organise a trip so people can join you...in freediving the buddy system still applies, in fact it is more vital than before.

Im wondering vill us able to cover 4 disciplines in 1 day?
Stated in the official website:
During the freedive courses the most common disciplines of freediving will be practiced: Static, Dynamic, Constant Weight and Free Immersion

from my expiriance 2 days is enough to cover the course. the third day you can do your practice/leisure dive.

johnny...what you can do is ask Universal for recommended duration for the course and ask fo an iternary...if you are able to talk to the instructor herself its better so you can get an expert advice on how to plan your trip.

ask about accomodation and transfers also...hehe..you can plan this..kim seng dah tak sabar dah (cant wait)

not in a rush.... just jealous..
seeing ppl like deepblu going diving every weekend, while i'll need a reason to go away

i'm more interested in getting the cost down... dun mind camping at KK beach to reduce cost...

Frankly speaking, i'd never organise a trip b4. This vil b my very 1st 1.
I'll try to call the instructor Wendy and hopefully can come out with an iterinary by nex week.

V'd decided to take AIDA** 2 STAR after v met Wendy as she say can skip AIDA 1 star wo. My fren, Danny, and I had decided to hit the sea on 1/8/08~4/8/08. Departing from Putra station on 31/7/08 (9~11pm) night bus and leaving the island on 4/8/08 afternoon. The course vil simply take up 3 days time and the las day morning hopefully v can do some fun dives. The course itself cost RM750. Erm... the stay most probably vil go to the ABC guesthouse (cheap ma

). Pls drop me a msg if u r interested to join us.

-learn to safely freedive with or without a guide line
-static and dynamic session
-2 open water sessions to max. depth of 20meter
-2 theory sesions & exam

wendy is a hot babe.. she's nice too..
met her when doing some dive there..
she was in MIDE promoting frediving.there's a promotion on the AIDA course i think..

ABC is cheap..my experience when stay in ABC is memorable...hahahaha.
hope u will not grumbling & complaining when u back to KL...

have a nive drip johnny.will join u next time after my scubadive technique getting much better...hehe
