Hi

Besides taking the infamous KL taxis, what would be the most convenient way to Putra World Trade Centre from KL Sentral?

'over"water navigation..hehe, i can help. Answer - Take the Train (LRT train) from KL SENTRAL - change trains/cross over another station/change lines at MASJID JAMEK interchange station - Get on 2nd train to PWTC station.

Details
- Inside KL Sentral building, there are various trains. Pls choose the LRT "Light Rail Transit" which is overground rail (there are only 2 lines of LRT, 'Kelana Jaya Line'  or 'Ampang Line'
- Note: KL SENTRAL station is on the 'Kelana Jaya line'. You can buy the tickets at the counters manned by LRT staff there, or there should be a Machine , go through the Ticket Turnstiles & head up the escalator.
- once through the Ticket Turnstiles, make sure to take the direction towards KL City, ie towards 'Terminal Putra/Gombak' direction (Do Not head towards 'Kelana Jaya' direction)
- Change train/lines at MASJID JAMEK - you have to exit this station, walk up the escalator , walk across a covered area, to get to the other Interchange Station also called 'MASJID JAMEK' (but it's actually another Line called 'Ampang line')
- Get off at PWTC station
- It's like right next/across to PWTC building/Pan Pacific hotel/The Mall.

I'm not sure about the tickets , whether you need to buy 2 tickets on the 2 different lines or 1 ticket is sufficient despite having to change stations at Masjid Jamek. Because when I take trains, I just use my Touch & Go card, which is a topup balance card which is usable across all the trains, buses etc. You could ask the Counter guys (or I can help you check it out the next time I get on a LRT)

- there is a trip planner, and Train maps there. I looked and it only cost RM2.50 for a trip from KL sentral to PWTC  :)

klu dari KL Sentral, yg paling mudah naik KTM... mcm di info oleh vash_h...
amek komuter menghala ke Rawang (Bukan Seremban).. turun kt stesen PWTC, jalan kaki sket...

good to be of help. i subscribed to sport diving in the last MIDE, received a lot of goodies and i loved every issue of sport diving. I am going to renew my subscription again in coming MIDE...

counting days........end of next weekend.......donno what to expect but cuci2 mata sudah..as i just got my open water license scared poisoned to join any dive trips...very hard to justify with new wifey  :P

Is it true that we can get cheaper price of equipments / dive packages during MIDE? Like PC Fair/MATTA Fair?  Or it is just an expo to gathered all company/individual that are related to Scuba Diving in one place with non or minimum discounted price offered? From what I get from the MIDE Official Webpage, there would be some talks / conference within these 3 days.

Yay! I can be there anytime cause PWTC is just at my back yard(office back yard actually). I can reach there by 5mins walking distance(only tht friday 1st. la..hehe).  ;)

I should be there by noon or so.. TT sounds like a good idea. But most of the time, people will be to busy to remember TT since they are busy browsing for the best deal.. hehe

Hi,

Just wanna ask whether it's worth it for a 'not-yet' diver like me to vist MIDE. I can't really afford(time wise) travelling to PWTC next week due to some working commitments. If it is just a place where many dive companies get together to sell equipments etc. I might skip it because I won't start diving anytime soon(need to get doctor's permission first). That's why I need your opinion on whether it will be a worth it trip. Giving a rough picture/idea on what exactly happens there would be a great help.

FYI, PC fair price is higher than the normal price you can find in lowyat.
