The DAN Standard Plan offers coverage for medical charges for decompression illness (DCI), which includes both arterial gas embolism (AGE) and decompression sickness (DCS) sustained on a dive or a Repetitive Dive Series to a maximum depth of
40 metres. This plan provides up to US$45,000 coverage for hyperbaric fees, physicians and medical supplies used in the treatment of DCI.
The DAN Master Plan provides up to US$125,000 coverage for medical charges for decompression illness and
all covered in-water injuries (including snorkelling) sustained on a dive or a Repetitive Dive Series to a maximum depth of
50 metres. The Master Plan also offers up to US$10,000 in accidental death and dismemberment benefits resulting from a covered Diving Accident; plus up to US$15,000 in permanent total disability benefits arising from a covered Diving Accident.
The DAN Preferred Plan provides up to US$250,000 coverage for medical charges for a Diving (and Snorkelling) Accident. The Preferred Plan also offers up to US$10,000 in accidental death and dismemberment benefits resulting from a covered Diving Accident; plus up to US$15,000 in permanent total disability benefits from a covered Diving Accident sustained on a dive to
any depth, provided that the Member held appropriate certification for the dive, and was using appropriate breathing gas mixes and equipment during the dive or Repetitive Dive Series.
(NEW) The Preferred Plus Plan provides up to US$250,000 coverage for medical charges for a Diving (and Snorkelling) Accident, up to US$15,000 in accidental death and dismemberment benefits and up to US$15,000 in permanent total disability benefits both from a covered Diving Accident sustained on a dive to
any depth, provided that the Member held appropriate certification for the dive, and was using appropriate breathing gas mixes and equipment during the dive or Repetitive Dive Series.
In addition the Preferred Plus Plan provides benefits for diving vacation cancellation+ (up to US$10,000) and diving vacation interruption+ (up to US$5,000), extra accommodations** (up to US$3,000), extra transportation** (up to US$2,000), and lost diving equipment** (up to US$2,500).
The Preferred Plus Plan provides up to US$10,000 in non-diving accident medical insurance. This does NOT apply to accidents/illnesses that occur in the country of residence of the person as registered with DAN Asia-Pacific and must have occurred during a
short (maximum 3 months) recreational trip away from this country of residence.+ Only available due to injury or illness that prevents the Insured from diving
