Hello People.

MIDE is just around the corner (4-6 July 2008). Some things have been done and some or not. There are no coodination going on but some parties have taken the initiative to to complete the various component of this event.

The only thing that remains to be done is complete the unfinish task that need to bee done, coordinate the various task and longistic and elect a suitable person to head this very,very,very last minute project.

So I am applying to you, members of MUW, as per what we did last year...we meet up, we coordinate and we do whats need to be done. Members that are involve last year can attest to the pressure and hard work that they have to go thru, doing it for free-for the love of MUW, but in the end of the day...all of it was worth it.

The new members of MUW that sign up for this forum on MIDE 2007 and the ones that sign up after that, you are the product of this hard work, lets do the same and create a new generation of members.

We will meet up at Ocean Element http://www.oceanelements.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=14&Itemid=27 tonight at 2000hrs to coordinate and put things in motion. please come and contribute what ever we have, even though how small, may it financialy, labour, talent or just your attendance will help to make this event a succcess. Ocean Element has generously offer the use of their premises and Nitrogen Addict will supply unlimited ammount of tea and coffe...heh.

On a personal note...i have realise on how MUW has played a role or influance our daily life...the people we meet, the fun we had, the life partners that we found and the friends that are always there to cheer up our day...its time to put some back so that other people can enjoy the same experiance.

Thank you to all who had contributed in MIDE 2007.. that was SMASHING!! Even the organizer agreed that MUW played an important part in making MIDE 2007 a success.

Thanks Mephisto and Bijan for organizing this meeting today. I for one, agreed very much that MUW has changed my life.

This is the time to show what MUW is all about, not just the Moderators, not just the Forum, but MUW consists of DIVERS, that means YOU!! No one owns MUW, everyone of you owns MUW, and its up to you to make our booth the best again this year.

This year, Malaysian International Dive Expo 2008 (MIDE2008) will be held on July 4-6 (Friday-Sunday) from 10am to 7pm.

Tonight's meeting will be an open meeting to gain as much ideas and feedback from members, basically to organize groups of MUWians into action groups such as:

- Diving local and international
- Freediving
- Paintball
- Whitewater Rafting
- Climbing/ Jungle Trekking
- Photography
- Other chill-out activities
- MUW In The News

- For starters, we will need write-ups of summarized reports with pictures of each activity groups pasted on black mounting boards to put on the wall.

- Banners from our activities - we would like to display them at the booth too, space permitting, so if you are in the possession of one, please tell us. I know we have a banner for our First Annual Dinner, Eco-Divers.

- Special diving gears, eg. Re-breathers, technical equipments, etc that we can borrow, we would like to have them there, again space permitting.

- Anyone who can contribute their precious notebook with internet connection, Plasma TV, or LCD TV, portable DVD player, amplifiers, speakers - YES, we would like to borrow them, we'll take care of them for the duration of the show including set-up day

- Any members with nice underwater videos (personally shot, finished product, preferably with MUW members featured), please not the ones shot for "personal viewing", we would like to have a copy.

- Any members who can lend us a folding picnic table, would be great to put the notebooks on.

SET-UP DAY
We will be setting up the booth between 9am to 9pm on Thursday 3rd of July, and we need to get everything ready well before the set-up date.

Please tell us if you are a creative person with experience of setting up booths to help us to creatively arrange and mount those pictures on the wall.

Our booth is measured at 2 meters by 2 meters by 2 meters. with 2 walls and 2 open sides in "L" shape.

So, calling MUW OWNERS - that's YOU, please contribute more ideas thru this forum thread or PM me, Bijan or Mephisto.

Most of all we need your TIME, your Commitment and contribution to make our booth at Malaysian International Dive Expo 2008 a success.

We know that we can't be very much contribute during the event day because we have to look after our own booth.

You are all welcome to use our premise to set up or to do your preparation before the event.
