Hello,

Like you requested I would like to introduce myself.

I'm Danny Van Belle, marine wildlife videographer.
I've made 2700 logged dives and worked for a long time as instructor in Thailand.
Since 2003 I'm active only working as underwater videographer.

I've produced a few documentaries which got many awards worldwide.
So I'm twice winner of the 'Golden fin' at the world festival of underwater images in Antibes, France, the most prestigious festival in underwater imaging of the world. (2004 & 2007).
At the World Cup underwater videography in Italy 2005 I reached 2nd place (Runner-up).

For the moment I'm spending a lot of time in Indonesia.
I'm organizing in coöperation with a few companies the 1st HUGYCUP of which the annoncement above.
During this period of competition their will be a lot of workshops on underwater photography & videography.
A unique occasion I think to combine competition with some learning experience.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for the effort of putting up such a wonderful event. I have been looking forward to see some of the great art works by some great underwater photographers.

Btw, is this Cup open for all inclusive of professionals and commercial photographers as well? Any camera specifications? DSLR, Semi Auto or anything will do??

Any specifications of dive sites?? Or we just shoot and e-mail them to you?

After the huge succes with the 1st HUGYCUP taking place in Lembeh and the 2nd HUGYCUP that took place in Bali the 3rd HUGYCUP is going to be held in EGYPT !

Starting on the 4th of september and uptill the 23rd of october photographers and videographers, professionals and beginners, reflex and compact camera's will all come together to participate in the HUGYCUP 2011 hold in Dahab, Egypt. Again prizes to win totaling a value of more than 30000 euro.
Underwater photography & videography workshops will be held by Danny Van Belle, three times winner of the Golden Fin at the World Festival of underwater images, France.
