Anyone going for this conference?

Organized by the Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents (MATTA) in collaboration with the Malaysian Government and the State Government of Terengganu, the 5th Asia Pacific Ecotourism Conference (APeco 2007) features the theme "Marine Ecotourism: Emerging Best Sustainable Practices and Successful Stories."

With over 55,000 islands in the Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean, and numerous beautiful coastal shores which attracts holidaymakers from all over the world, the Asia Pacific region an important area for marine ecotourism discussions. Focusing on emerging best practice examples in sustainable ecotourism management, the conference aims to uncover the ingredients of success from experts and ecotourism gurus, learning from projects, destinations and organizations which have been conspicuously successful in marine ecotourism planning, development and marketing.

As a proud supporter of the APeco2007, we encourage all our members to take advantage of this opportunity to participate in the conference. The following TIES Board members are presenting at the APeco 2007 as expert speakers: Kelly Bricker (USA, Fiji), Tony Charters (Australia), Masaru Takayama (Japan), Carolyn Wild (Canada, Australia).
