wondering...can i do that with contact len?
« on: June 07, 2010, 11:16:41 PM »

i use contact len when i start diving, just need to close eyes when mask clearing...so never open my eyes in saltwater and i used it like im wearing it on land...only remove it before sleep..i know im torturing my eyes..just too lazy to remove and wear again for next dive..

i try once (recently) when i remove the contact len, i loss 1/3 part of it...dont know where is it..i was thinking is it in ocean or into my eyes..??

im thinking sort of operation..for my eyes..is it recommended?

Ketam have been diving with contacts since certification. You can switch to powered mask or go through LASIK. Nanda666 did it and swears by it.

I think you mean Astigmatism. (Silau...???..maybe..)

LASIK is actually laser correction and they did correct my astigmatism as well. I did the operation in 2002 and vision is still 20/20 today so yes.... I do swear by it!!

The operation cost RM 4000 (both eyes...total cost.) but I heard it cost a lot more now. The best is to go and see the guys for a free check up. (Some peoples eyes are just not suitable for laser treatment.) I did my op in VistaLasik. They are now at the Curve.

Good luck!!
