Dear Doc,

Yeah, I have that constant ringing in my head. It used to be like off and on, but of late (like two months ago), it has become permanent.

I admit sometimes forcing myself to go down with a blocked nose (the only problem I had was a reverse block on the way up that causes my vision to spin into tunnel vision).

If it is dive-related, what are the causes and how to remedy it (if any)?

If it is not dive-related, what can it be due to?

demon...kao kasi bikin sikit laa...tukar gegendang kau dengan piezo electric tranducers...frequency response sure 20Hz-20kHz punya...

beb...kalau kau nak test cd aku ada...dia ada satu track tu 22Hz=clitoral resonant frequency, main kat sub woofer kasi satu perempuan duduk atas driver dia.....gerenti game..heh

Yo SeaDemon,

Sorry bro, lambat reply. Actually I had an experience with this case before, not me laa..ada one diving instructor, went diving in Phuket, after dive had similar symptom as you did. Went to the hospital there, the Diving doc diagnose him as having Inner Ear DCS. Actually Inner Ear DCS and Inner Ear Barotrauma are a bit difficult to differentiate clinically, except that the former occurs on ascent and the latter on descent. Both will present with tinnitus.

As for this diver, he actually had recompression treatment in Phuket several times, and said that the tinnitus is slowly resolving. He came over to Lumut for several sessions as well, but did not have any improvement.

I tell u what, u can come over to Lumut, see ur old pal Kol Halim before he leaves, and ask his opinion on this. Several sessions inside the recompression chamber might do you some good...
