Vinegar.

Don't pee on it.

Don't lick it unless you wanna have sexy lips like Angelina Jolie or Vanessa Del Rio (I'm old school..so I'll use this name).

to reduce jelly fish sting u need to eat jelly  :D yum yum yum

if theres no vinegar around

then take a lime, cut into half and squeeze it on the effected area (do this while u chewing the jelly)  :D

well....while i was lepaking at the island... 1 of my fren kena stung by jellyfish at the neck while snorkelling.. so he uses freshwater to clean the wounds... it bengkak.. and then ar.. he went to see bomoh... so the bomoh recites some verse.. and puik kanan puik kiri (bomoh saliva) ... give some herbs to apply onthe wound and the asap thingy (kemenyan) around the whole body ... so he claims it cure him instantly....

then i read in 1 article.. if u get stung.. dont wash with freshwater... but rinse it with salt water and then shave off the area... in case still got some stingging jello attached.. dun use bare hand but using tweeters or whatever u can find la/.... apply ammonia if not mistaken ofthe name... or use vinegar... on it. the vinegar wont expired but it kena hot sun... it will turn yellow like pee.... maybe this is when the pee thingy came into picture.. some1 pure yellow liquid to heal the wound from a bottle....... good eh...

jelly fish stings....never ever fresh H2O....vinegar or citrus type fruit juice,,,its good to bring some limau nipis in your BCD...a gud DM & boatman will always have it available....shave area if necessary...avoid contact with hands if have to remove j.fish tentacles use tweezers...even the tentacles  are broken the nematocyst ( stinging cell ) still active...after 1-2 hours if recovering then apply hot water as long your skin can stand...using hot pack is much better..this will break the toxins protein..make you feel better....correct me if im wrong, but ive been doing this from all those cases. ;) ;)

please be aware of the jellyfish species

2 deadly species portugies manowar & boxjelly fish :o
ps. there's 1 more specie saw it on ch 51 forjot name ;)...wicked la

Hmm...urinating will not relieve jellyfish sting. And with some species, urine will actually trigger the remaining nematocysts (sting cells) and make it even worse.

So using urine on jellyfish sting is as good as using urine on your amputated limb to heal the wound when our Dr Bones (artist formerly known as ZZZ) uses her cutting tools on you.

SD... kutuk me huh.... >:(

As SD said urine is not a good idea... if you don't have vineger use the seawater... remove any remaining stings/nematocytes. You need to seek medical treatment immediately if you have history of allergic reactions

Was wondering, if a person accidentally got scratched by a coral, does applying vinegar to the affected area (rashes especially) helps?

did you apply it on ur hand?  :-? i think the best is to do a necessary medical check-up as you never know what was the caused of the infection.  :-?
