7. How do you find MUW forum, your current job as MOD, and in which areas do you enjoy best?
MUW is well structured and interesting. As long as I do not have to moderate anyone, I’ll be happy. I also like to get myself involved in discussions because it teaches and reminds me on a lot of aspects of diving, especially in safety. I like areas like Technical Diving, Basic Scuba Discussions, Dive Medicine and Fitness and Wreck Diving

8. Any areas that you would like to see improved in our diving industry?
Better safety standards and more reasonable dive rates

9. Can you tell us more about yourself? (working experience, personal interests, families etc..)

“Served as a Captain in the Royal Malaysian Air Force’s elite unit HANDAU (now known as PASKAU) mainly involved in security, intelligence gathering and Combat Search And Rescue; and final post was as Head of Special Investigations Branch, RMAF Provost Marshall’s Office.

“Had a short stint instructing security personnel of the Brunei Shell Petroleum company in Kuala Belait, Brunei.

“Security Advisor to the Western Cape Province in South Africa when Cape Town bid for the 2004 Olympics in 1996.

“Advisory capacity to the Ministry for its effort in Bridging The Digital Divide and represented at the International Telecommunications Union (Development) at the United Nations in Geneva.

“Represented Malaysia at the International Parachuting Competition in Hua Hin, Thailand in 1997.
“Holder of 3 Malaysian records for being part of the first group of Malaysians to go to the North Pole (1998), first Malaysian to perform a BASE Jump (1999), and record-holder for the Fastest 1000km On A Jet-Ski.

“Has 4 children and 2 step-children, 2 of whom are Open Water Divers.

“A history buff and is always hungry for information.
